GET THE DATA YOU NEED
Whether it’s measuring instruments for scientific experiments or prototypes to be subjected to near-space conditions, Zephalto will take you into the stratosphere.
COLLECTING UNIQUE DATA
Our balloon altitude control provides precise access to the desired test conditions. Collecting data throughout the ascent and descent allows for a comprehensive study of how the balloon performs during varying environments. This type of testing is crucial for:
- Satellite calibration and environmental measurement instruments.
- Studying thermodynamic and aerodynamic exchanges under real conditions.
- Validation of sensors or instruments requiring gradual exposure to different atmospheric layers.
- Carrying out free-fall drop tests: to simulate the atmospheric re-entry of capsules and components, or simply to reach speeds that can exceed Mach 1.
TEST AND CONFIRM
FOR DEVELOPING TECHNOLOGIES
We offer companies and laboratories the opportunity to test prototypes at a low Technology Readiness Level (TRL) before embarking on more costly test campaigns in orbit or in a simulated space environment. This approach enables:
- Quickly validate a concept with a simplified prototype.
- Optimise performance and identify any adjustments needed before testing in a more demanding environment.
- Reduce the risks and costs associated with industrialising a new technology.
- To protect the prototype elements not prepared for space inside a capsule and enable its operation
CONDITIONS SUITED TO TESTING
Leave the management of the technical environment to our experts and concentrate on the essentials.
- Altitude adjustable up to 35 km for testing in ultra-reduced-pressure environments.
- Adjustable flight period: from a few hours to several weeks, for short or extended studies.
- High-altitude release for testing atmospheric re-entry or landing systems.
- Physical segregation of on-board instruments up to 50 meters to avoid interference.
- On-board power supply (12-24V, 300W) and real-time data transmission (2 Mbps).
- Recovery of payloads with controlled descent under balloon, eliminating shocks and preserving the integrity of the equipment.
